Circulating coin from the official annual set (Polished Standard Specimen Coins) of New Zealand 5 cents 1967. This year the country carried out one of the most important monetary reforms - it switched from the British system (pounds, shillings, pence) to the decimal system (dollars and cents). The 1967 decimal coin set with a blue certificate containing polished standard specimens (Specimen) is one of two official types of sets minted by the Royal Mint in London by order of the Treasury of the New Zealand Government. It was produced in the original light brown plastic packaging (wallet) in a circulation of 50,000 pieces, and was intended for sale as a commemorative collector's issue.
