Circulation coin of Spain 10 centimes from 1953. This coin was a common means of payment in post-war Spain and had the popular name "perra gorda" (big dog. In 1959, new types of coins were introduced in Spain, in particular a new design of 10 centimes (with a hole), which led to the gradual withdrawal of old specimens from circulation.
